CURRENT EVENTS

I am so incredibly excited to finally announce my newest upcoming mural for the Pueblo levee wall.
Carrie Clyde Holly was one of the first three women elected to a state legislature in the United States. In 1894, just a year after Colorado granted women the right to vote, she was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives from Pueblo County. She served at a time when most women in the United States were still not allowed to vote.
During her term, she introduced 14 bills, including the “Holly bill,” which raised the age of consent for girls from 16 to 18. This made her the first woman in U.S. history to write, introduce, and pass legislation.
After serving one term, Holly became a lawyer and continued advocating for women and children’s rights. Through her work in law and politics, she helped strengthen legal protections for young girls and women.
By adding her to the wall, this mural aims to honor Carrie Clyde Holly and bring attention to her achievements, so that she may continue to be remembered and appreciated for the barriers she broke for women.

My series "Rediscovering Color," and my newest piece, "In the Light of a Dancing Fire" were on display at Blo Back Gallery last year, with an opening on December 5th 2025. You can read more about my "Rediscovering Color" art series by checking out my blog post about it here.
Pueblo Levee Mural - "In Bloom"

In October/November of 2025, I painted my piece, "In Bloom," on the Levee of the Arkansas River as part of the Pueblo Levee Mural Project. This piece depicts morning glories blooming toward the Pueblo sun, representing the growth of Pueblo Colorado alongside my own individual growth as an artist since moving here. This mural is 24 ft x 24 ft.
From August to September of 2025, "A Place to Bloom" was on display at the Pueblo Art Guild located in Mineral Palace Park as best of show for emerging artists.
